Crispy Shrimp With Lemony Mayo

These crispy shrimp are easy to make in no time at all and make a great appetizer or part of a meal.  The shrimp is baked to keep it more on the healthy side and the mayo sauce compliments the shrimp nicely with the lemon flavor along with the teasing heat from the cayenne pepper.

Ingredients:

12 large shrimp (Peeled and deveined, with tails intact)

1/2 cup AP flour

3 large egg whites

1 1/2 cup fresh bread crumbs (or panko)

2 tbsp olive oil

sea salt

For the Lemony Mayo

4 tbsp mayonnaise

1 tbsp cayenne pepper

1/2 lemon

pinch ground black pepper (or as desired)

pinch sea salt (or as desired)

Directions:

1. Preheat the oven 425°F.

2. Prepare the flour, egg whites and bread crumbs into 3 separate bowls and line them up in this particular order.

3. Put aluminum foil on baking sheet and grease it with 2 tbsp of olive oil.

4. Season each shrimp with some sea salt and dip the shrimp into the flour and tap off the excess.

5. Dip the shrimp into the egg whites.

6. Finally dip the shrimp into the bread crumbs

7. Bake for 5 minutes.

9. Turn the shrimp over and continue to bake for another 5 minutes or until golden brown.

10. Now your ready to take it out of the oven and make the lemony mayo in no time.  Simply mix all of the ingredients mentioned above for your lemony mayo sauce and put it in a sauce bowl.  Enjoy!
