Spicy Turkey Vermicelli (螞蟻上樹)

This colorful dish is spicy as it is appealing. It is perfect for serving at lunch or dinner with some rice and really a easy quick and easy to make dish that will satisfy your taste buds.

Ingredients:

1/2 lb to 3/4 lb of ground turkey

2 handfuls of vermicelli

2 tbsp scallion minced

1 tbsp cilantro minced

1 tbsp ginger minced

1 1/2 tbsp garlic minced

1 tbsp chili bean sauce

1 cup of water

1 tbsp soy sauce

1/4 tsp organic cane sugar

2 tsp sesame oil

Directions:

Prep Work: For the sauce, combine in a bowl 1 cup of water, soy sauce, organic cane sugar and sesame oil and set aside for later.

1. Soak vermicelli  in water until  it is softened, then drain water and set aside.  If the vermicelli is long, it would be a good idea to cut it in half.

2. In a wok or pan, brown the ground turkey for a few minutes.

3. Add in the minced garlic to the ground turkey.

4. Then add in chili bean sauce.

5. Put in the vermicelli that was set aside into the the mix.

6. Add in the combined ingredients for the sauce from prep work.

7. Continue to stir until the vermicelli turns translucent and absorbs all the sauce.

8. Finally, add in the scallions and cilantro.  Then stir a little bit more and its ready to serve.

This dish goes really well with rice or you can eat this by itself.  Enjoy!
