The Garage Pit and my New Yorker sandwich

The Garage is the Hauppauge Industrial Park’s favorite lunchtime destination.  Each day of the work week, many LI businessmen and women can be found networking while enjoying their meals. I wish I can say the same but the New Yorker sandwich(hot roast beef, melted mozzarella, lettuce and tomato on a roll) I ordered just didn’t do it for me. The sandwich was mediocre, bland tasting and left me feeling like I could have made a better sandwich my damn self.  I heard good things about this place but I didn’t find it too impressive but it wont stop me from going again some other time to try something else.

Final Verdict: Despite the good claims, I think the place has a nice theme to fit the name of the spot and presentation for the food is alright.  It gets a 2 out of 5 rating.

You should try the Thunderbird next time. It’s like Thanksgiving leftovers on a roll.

@RenaissanceEyez, I will definitely consider trying the Thunderbird. Keep an eye for in the near future on a posting of a sandwich spot I recommend that is family owned out in here on the island.
