Recent studies from Harvard University and other researchers are now reporting that multi vitamins may be linked to increasing the risk of having breast cancer and colon cancer for men. In the past, doctors would recommend patients to take multi-vitamins but now are suggesting to hold off until further notice. The message is to eat foods that contain B-vitamins. These include dark green leafy vegetables such as spinach, broccoli, dried beans, peas, lentils and kidney beans, and chickpeas. Many cereals are also fortified with the vitamins.
